As you plan your trip to the 2024 VRPS Annual Conference, please be sure to read the "what to pack" handout so you don't forget anything, review places to explore and dine, sign up for volunteer opportunities (if you haven't already), check out important conference reminders and more!  

And, if you didn't register as a full delegate, enhance your experience by playing in the golf tournament and purchasing tickets to pre-conference tours, the awards banquet, and socials. 

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  • Name badges should be worn at all times during the conference
  • Double-check the socials schedule to know when you need cash vs. credit/debit cards at bars during social events; ID required for alcohol
  • Sign up to volunteer and assist with conference operations

CEUS:
Be sure to follow the steps below to get your CEUs for each session you attend:

  1. Log into the Conference App
  2. Add Session to "My Schedule"
  3. Sign into session using unique code provided in room
  4. Attend Session
  5. Complete Session Evaluation in App

ATTIRE(see below for suggestions)
  • Educational Sessions: Business Casual
  • Pre-Conference Tours: Casual attire; comfortable shoes
  • Awards Ceremony: Semi-formal attire with snazzy sneakers
  • Social Events: View the flyer for the nightly suggestions
  • Bring a light jacket and/or sweater: VA weather is unpredictable! (and conference rooms may be chilly)

REGISTRATION SCHEDULE:
Attendees and speakers can visit the conference registration desk to pick up conference bags and name badges during the hours noted below. Badges should be worn at all times during the conference.

  • Sunday, Sept. 15, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. @ Waterside Marriott
  • Monday, Sept. 16, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. @ Waterside Marriott 
  • Tuesday, Sept. 17, 7:30-10:30 a.m. @ Waterside Marriott

LIVE AUCTION
A fun addition to this year's Awards Ceremony! Join us on Monday, Sept. 16; bring your wallets and get ready to bid on some amazing auction items! Packaged experiences to include overnight getaways, theme park adventures, winery outings and much more! All proceeds from the auction support the Foundation of VRPS whose goal is to provide scholarships for students and professionals seeking further education or professional development opportunities, as well as supporting, other VRPS trainings and events.
